About our squad programs
at RCG
At Riverside city gymnastics we provide competitive state and national levels programs WAG, MAG and Trampolining pathways,
Our minimum age to participate is 5 years old, for our WAG and MAG program and for our trampolining minimum age 8 unless the child has had previous experience in foundation levels gymnastics until they have acquired the fundamental rotation and aerial awareness skills.
To enroll in our MAG and WAG squads previous experience is not essential but preferred for basic fundamental skills before entering into a competitive program. We would suggest doing a casual lesson to assess what program your child best suits. and if its the right fit for them.

Program Pathways
WAG State levels
Requires less commitment to training hours and flexibility, state levels still provide's the ability to progress through the Australian national levels program. State level athletes have the opportunity to compete at regional and club events unless invited to compete at state trial events if they meet the required skills at an above average quality.
WAG National Level
Requires a strong commitment to training as this pathway is developed to foster gymnasts to compete at a state and national level. Gymnasts will increase their training hours as they progress to support the essential areas in their specific level of training to allow time to implement basics, routine preparation, skill development and most importantly physical preparation.
High Performance
Gymnasts who have the natural ability and desire to work toward national or international representation. may suit high performance. HP is very demanding and requires gymnasts to work at a high performing standard and does not suit everyone. This pathway is selection based only, if your child displays natural talent, strong work ethic and attention to detail in their training or displays the attributes desired we will get in contact to discuss this pathway as an option.’
